Message from Ms. Gonzalez

Dear Parent(s), and Guardian(s),

Hi! My name is Ms. Gonzalez and I would like to welcome you to my page. I am excited to be your child's Resource Specialist Teacher this year. This 2019-2020 school year, I will be teaching Kinder and 5th grade students whom have an Individualize Education Plan (IEP) and receive Resource Specialist Program (RSP) as a related service. RSP is a program to help children who qualify for special education services. The program is designed to give support to children with learning disabilities and give them strategies to help them be successful in their education. I strongly believe that communication between parents and teachers is essential to students academic success. Together WE are a team! I look forward to a great year.

*On this site you will find announcements, information all about me, links to useful educational websites and parent resources.

Sincerely,
Ms. Gonzalez

*** School  is Closed for the Remainder of the School Year***

We are currently closed due to the COVID-19 outbreak. I know that this is a difficult time of adjustment for families and students. I hope that you are all finding ways to de-stress and stay healthy. Remember to wash your hands often for 20 seconds or more and stay home as much possible practicing social distancing.

Please note that we are now a distance learning school due to COVID-19. Distance learning is a new experience for myself and the students. Students will continue to receive RSP services using Zoom and/or Google Classroom, as we moved away from our traditional classroom setting. With that being said, I have created a Google Classroom for the 5th grade students, where your child will find the RSP schedule for our Zoom live sessions and as well a way to stay connected with your child until the end of the school year. Please remind your child to check it regularly and to participate in the Zoom live sessions. Students now will receive Class Dojo points, from Ms. Gonzalez, for attending scheduled Zoom live sessions with both myself and their classroom teacher. Please continue to stay connected with me on Class Dojo, where you will receive notifications if your child attended the Zoom live session or had missed their session. If you are not connected with me on Class Dojo or if your child is not yet connected on Google Classroom, please contact me so that I may assist with this process. You may contact me via Class Dojo, email, or over the phone.

Please look and listen for updates from Montague on our school website and the occasional communication sent via phone.

Montague Charter Academy will be acting in accordance with directives given by the California Department of Education (CDE) as well as our federal, state, and local governing agencies.

Montague will also be providing free lunch for all MCA students. Lunches are available from 10:30am -12:00pm Monday- Friday. Please drive to the Montague parking lot and pick up lunches for your children.
