Science and History- Social Sciences
There are various science topics that we will be learning this year. We are very lucky to have Mr. Chavez as our new Science Lab teacher. We will be attending our Science Lab weekly and will be experimenting with concepts that were taught previously. Also, our fifth grade students will be taking the California Science Test (CAST) at the end of the school year. We have a lot of learning to do!

NGSS Standards:
In fifth grade students will study the history of Colonial America, the American Revolution, and the development of the new nation until 1850. This grade level includes a strong focus on the founding documents of the United States, including the Declaration of Independence and the Constitution. We will also learn about states and and their capitals.
Please be prepared to work collaboratively with other students in developing several types of presentations!
