In this Mystery, students explore the past and present pattern of where volcanoes exist on the earth.

In the activity, Mapping Volcanoes, students plot volcano locations on a world map and look for patterns.

The documents attached on the links below are editable which means you should be able to type responses there if you don't have a printer. For the actual mapping of the volcanoes you can simply drag/move the "red triangles" to the corresponding location. If you have a difficult time with the document or printing the see the ANSWER KEY maps below!

4th grade assignment from the Science Lab:

Mystery Science Lesson: “Where does Energy come from?” (Mystery #8)

Please use the following link to access:https://mysteryscience.com/energy/mystery-8/renewable-energy-natural-resources/269?code=NTE2MjI3MA&t=student

In this Mystery, students analyze the advantages and disadvantages of different sources of energy, including burnable fuels and alternative (renewable) energies. In the activity, Power this Town, students obtain and combine information about wind energy, solar energy, and water energy. They use this information to determine the best alternative energy sources for a town called Boulderville.

Watch the video and if possible discuss the questions with someone at home.

**YOU CAN SKIP STEP #21 IN THE VIDEO: "LOOK AROUND THE ROOM FOR A POSTER THAT MATCHES YOUR PLAN" and move on to final video.

Your teacher might ask some of these questions during your live sessions.

Please NOTE: It might be a good idea for you to complete this lesson/activity in 2-3 sessions. Make sure to answer the questions on the 3 worksheets ( WIND, SUN, & WATER) as you watch the video! Please click on the document below to see the worksheets.
