Montague Charter Academy Receives $5,000 Donation from New Burlington Store
Pacoima, Ca – Burlington Stores, the national off-price retailer, through its partnership with the national non-profit organization, AdoptAClassroom.org, has donated $5,000 towards school supplies to Montague Charter Academy in celebration of its new store now open in Panorama City, CA at The Plant Shopping Center (14501 Blythe St, Panorama City, CA 91402)
A representative from AdoptAClassroom.org contacted Montague Charter Academy school administrators and helped to secure the donation which will provide $5,000 in much needed supplies for each teacher’s classroom.
Vice Principal, Imelda Madrid accepted the generous donation on behalf of the school at a ceremony on March 5, 2021. “On behalf of the entire Montague Charter Academy Community, I would like to welcome our new local Burlington store and thank them and AdoptAClassroom.org for their generous donation to our school,” Ms. Madrid said. “The donation comes at a vital time for our school community, who are dealing with the economic and emotional impacts of the pandemic. Our community has been one of the hardest hit communities in Los Angeles County. This donation will ensure that we are able to support our community families by equipping our students with the materials they need so that they can successfully complete their already difficult academic year. We are thankful for the support we received from Burlington and AdoptAClassroom.org.”
