Congressman Tony Cárdenas joined students and faculty at Montague Charter Academy to honor the first responders who saved the pilot’s life at the January 9th Pacoima aircraft crash that occurred near Whiteman Airport. LAPD Sergeant Joseph Cavestany and LAPD Officers Robert Sherock, Damien Castro and Christopher Aboyte, received special certificates of recognition in honor of their heroism. The students of Montague Charter Academy also presented letters and sang America the Beautiful to the same officers who keep our school safe every day.
