Mrs. Ranu's Bio

Getting to know Mrs. Ranu!

Mrs. Ranu grew up in the San Fernando Valley and has been teaching elementary school for the last 18 years.  She has been teaching at Montague Charter Academy for 10 years, and for the last 8 years has headed the performing arts department.  She is a classically trained musician, with a Bachelors in Music from UC Santa Barbara and a Masters in Music from Manhattan School of Music. She received her teaching credential in 2005 from Cal State Northridge.

It brings great joy and happiness to Mrs. Ranu to bring music into the lives of our Montague students. She loves forming close relationships with all of our students and working with them from the time they are in TK and Kindergarten until they graduate from Montague.  She enjoys singing, playing instruments, and dancing with her students.  She hopes to inspire her students to further pursue the performing arts in middle and high school.

Mrs. Ranu lives in Granada Hills with her husband, daughter, Giuliana (15), son, Christopher (11), and her doggie, Oliver (4).  She loves cooking, hiking, reading, going to concerts, and spending time with her family.
